Triathlon
I wanted to do triathlon for years, but didn't know when I'd ever get round to it. Finally at the end of 2006 though, Roj suggested we sign up for 2007's London Sprint Triathlon held in and around the Docklands which is exactly what we did.
Due to a windsurfing accident earlier in the year, my training regime went completely to pot but with 4 weeks to go, I was finally able to start training again and introduce myself to such joys as open water swimming in the Serpentine, spin class at Ethos and the Surrey Hills killer rides.
I wasn't sure what I'd think of the race, but crossing the finish line I was on a bigger high than I could remember, and I immediately signed up for several more races in the following weeks.
So it seems that triathlon is my new obsession!
